March 2025 | Climate Events across Colorado
Monthly climate events, jobs, and news in the Colorado front range
There’s a lot going on in Colorado, and it shouldn’t be a secret! It’s not the biggest tech scene, but Colorado’s unique mix of research, policy, companies, mountains, and people work together to make it a major climate hub. This newsletter is an independent roundup of community-submitted climate events in the Colorado Front Range area and is not associated with any specific company or group.
Colorado Climate Week (CCW) is here! Almost... A special CCW edition coming later this month with all of the Climate Week events in one place.
Until then, there are plenty of events in the first few weeks of March to get you warmed up, including all-electric showcases, awards, meetups, and more.
Our spotlight 🔦 from Hannah Davis continues this month with Will Misko, who is bringing new technologies to predicting and fighting wildfires.

Mini-series: Interconnection Insights 2️⃣
What’s in the Queue in Colorado? As with the rest of the country, new generation is made up primarily of wind, solar, and a heavy sprinkling of batteries. There are some smaller new gas plants in the works, but when you look for a high capacity gas plant nothing new has been added in 14 years.
If you’re interested in more data like this, reach out to Steven Zhang at Interconnection.fyi.
Climate News in CO
There’s plenty of news coverage by others right now, but the federal chaos is affecting Colorado too via funding freezes, and layoffs (already hitting the VA, Forest Service, NOAA, and IRS).
