May 2025 | 2️⃣1️⃣ Climate Events across Colorado
Monthly climate events, jobs, and news in the Colorado front range
There’s a lot going on in Colorado, and it shouldn’t be a secret! It’s not the biggest tech scene, but Colorado’s unique mix of research, policy, companies, mountains, and people work together to make it a major climate hub. This newsletter is an independent roundup of community-submitted climate events in the Colorado Front Range area and is not associated with any specific company or group.
Flowers aren’t the only thing blossoming this month. With 7️⃣ meetups and many more events, the climate community is ready to grow. It’s a great time to bring your friends or new grads thinking curious about climate. As we continue our search for in-person events, we’ve also included a few opportunities to visit real farms, get outside for the warm weather, and learn about sustainable agriculture.

Climate News in CO
Colorado is getting geothermal heat pumps. This partnership between Dandelion and Lennar promises 1,500 new builds in Littleton will contain geothermal heat pumps, enabling the houses to be all-electric and save costs on extending gas infrastructure, home design, and HVAC operation. How big is this? Dandelion has retrofitted ~1,000 homes, meaning this will more than double their install base, enter geothermal into the new-build industry, and test the economics of residential geothermal in Colorado.
